Valentines' day celebration in India

India is one of the oldest civilization of the world. They have their own traditions, but they also love to adopt the latest emerging trends of the entire world. Similar is the case with Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated throughout the India with great eagerness. People express their love on this day, some give gifts, while some exchange flowers with their loved ones. The day is not a public holiday but people love to celebrate this day. The people of India have so much adopted this tradition that most of the boys and girls take off from their work or they manage to celebrate this day on another day which is closer to Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated on 14th February. Today, Valentine’s Day is warmly celebrated in India. People give each other flowers and also exchange gifts. Send flowers to Mumbai on this valentines and bring smile on the lips of your love once. Red roses are on top priority as they express warm love. But, many other flowers are also given. You will find lots of gift shops that start selling special edition gifts in the month of Valentine’s Day. This day is quite famous in India. People from the very age celebrate it. Couples also exchange their gifts and flowers. On this day, you will find big crowds in restaurants and parks. Couples go out, have fun, and spend time with each other. Most of the time, unmarried couples are more interested in celebrating this day. The people of India belong to two major schools of thoughts. Some say, it is good to adopt international traditions as this will help them walk along with other popular countries, but some say the Valentine’s Day is harming their old traditions. Their young boys and girls are spoiled with this event as they want to get involved in such traditions before age. As the world is making progress, people are becoming more broad minded. These days, making understanding between two would-be life partners is very essential. Indians have also adopted this thought. Now, they also allow their kids to take interest with whom they are going to get married. They think understanding will give their children better start-up of life. There are several online shops for the shopping on this day. According to a survey, people make purchase of millions of dollars on this single day. Flowers are most popular item of all for this special day. Sometimes, it is hard to find red roses on this day. The shops with extensive stock will sell their flowers on fairly high prices. But, you will find warm hearted people who will buy those flowers for their loved ones. After all, there is no price of love in this world. Love was priceless and is still something which cannot be bought with money. When people are in love, they think they are out of this world. They feel themselves as the luckiest person in the world. Now looking on the other side of the picture, Indians are not very modernized people. Unlike the west, they still have a joint family system and their own pure traditions to follow. Their young children do not get so much liberty to choose their life partner on their own. They still rely on their parents to make this decision. Also, they do not have a tradition of meeting their would-be life partner. This is the reason why some scholars say Valentine’s Day is ruining their traditions. In the west, children have the right to choose their counterparts, but this is not the case with a country like India. Order Here
